This classic kitchen model comes with a detachable clear plastic weighing container measuring 8-1/2 by 6-1/2 by 3 inches, generous enough to hold more than six cups of liquid or a pound of bulky dried pasta. To use, simply position the container on top of the scale and turn the knob on the back until the dial needle registers zero. Add and weigh food as needed. Resetting to zero after each ingredient is added enables an entire recipe to be combined in one bowl. If acidic or strongly colored foods such as oranges, curries, and tomatoes are to be weighed, it’s a good idea to line the container with plastic wrap first to prevent discoloration.
